Interested in joining a kick-boxing class?

Hey i recently joined a gym and was interested in joining a kick boxing class. What are the benifits? Is it primarily for losing weight? Because i have no interest in losing weight, im actually trying to put on a few pounds. If anybody could tell me the benefits i would really appreciate it.

Gaining weight (muscle) = more calories in than out + something that develops strength

Losing weight (fat) = less calories in than out + any sort of exercise.

Everyone has fat, I think what you’re trying to say is you don’t want to be slimmer (by definition of ‘losing weight’). Being overweight is not always the only reason someone should burn some fat. You can be 5’10 and 160 pounds but have very little muscle. I would focus then on replacing some of that fat with muscle (of course, not much fat, but some). Kickboxing is GREAT for that because it works all your muscles at one time. If you’re eating a healthy diet with the right amount of calories and protein, you’ll gain muscle from kickboxing.

Kickboxing will improve your overall concentration and flexibility. One of the things that I love most about kickboxing though is that it teaches discipline and you’ll gain self-confidence. There are so many benefits to kickboxing that I would rather just tell you to go for it instead of writing them all down.

Hope this is what you were looking for.
