what is the cheapest way to send a heavy parcel in the uk that will collect from home?

Boxed-product Weight: 998 g
So would cost £8 second class with royal mail, i would like a service that is cheaper or the same cost but a faster service.

you could try others like UPS but im pretty sure thatll be even more expensive
