How fit can I get in two weeks?

June 8th, 2010 | by admin |

This is quite long, sorry.

Ok basically at the moment I am quite muscular in the arms and upper legs, but in the stomach and chest it is almost completely fat.

I don’t actually look fat at all when I’m wearing clothes but I know for a fact that I am a bit. I was just wondering if I could lose a lot of the fat in two weeks? I am not too worried about the building muscle yet because I have an idea for what to do, I just want to lose the fat first.

I will be doing work experience in a gym in the summer for 10 days with a weekend gap in the middle. I have been told by the instructor that I will be expected to join in a few fitness classes a day. These mainly consist of spinning, boot camp, shadow boxing and general aerobics. I won’t have to do all of these a day, but I am going to try to do as many as I can.

I am currently preparing for my GCSEs and work experience is just after my last exam, so starting the fat-burning routine early is a little out of the question.

My end aim is to be toned by September for the new school year, and fit for the rugby season. I will be at home for most of the summer so going to the gym will be no problem after the exams.

So, basically, the question is how much do you think I can achieve towards my goal in those two weeks of work experience? Thanks a lot I know it’s a lot to read :) .
Oh yeah I should probably mention I own plenty of protein shake…

2 months of regular vigorous exercise MIGHT result in some improvement in your fitness.

Two weeks is not a lot of time but it is possible to get in better shape by then. I recommend firstly that you focus on perfect nutrition because that will help you more in two weeks than anything else. Also running would be a powerful combination with the nutrition. This site has some great nutrition programs and exercise programs and he is pretty down to earth. I would run a mile or 2 every other day and throw in some simple body weight workouts (push ups, pull ups, crunches, burpees). You can definitely decrease your body fat by 3 lbs I am estimating. Here is the site:
