I am sick of running on the treadmill, using the elliptical, and stairclimber. I always read if you do something you enjoy like a sport cardio is more fun, and you will be less likely to slack. I love martial arts, and kickboxing. However my gym doesn’t have any classes (that I take seriously). They have your average pilates, spinning, and "cardio kickboxing" classes. I’m not interested in shadow boxing for an hr. They however DO have upper cut bags, and heavy bags. Can anyone give me a good program for begginers. Example: Warm up 5 minutse shadow boxing/jump rope/jog, do intervals of 2-3 minute rounds with jab, cross, kick combos. Something like that. Thanks!
You got the idea, start from there. The heavy bag and other bags are used for power punching drills, so unless you have a partner to hold while you beat the bag you will have to hit it light so it would swing everywhere. There a lot of drills you can see on youtube that might help. Ringside and title boxing have videos on heavy-bag workouts.
