Beginner kick boxing class?

I’m going to try a beginner kick boxing class. Apparently it starts off at the very basics. Does anyone have any advice on what to do to warm myself up and get myself ready? Is kick boxing extremely challenging?

you should always stretch for kicking, punching, etc. to decrease chance of injury. Other than that, it depends on your level of fitness. High-intensity running and rock-hard abs will both come in handy before kick-boxing. It is a very challenging but very rewarding sport.

I do not think you need to do anything. Considering it is a beginners class, they will assume you know nothing / very little about it and will teach you all the basics such as warming up there. After a couple of classes, you can start practicing what you have learned at home. That will help you to progress. It can be very challenging, especially if you get to the competitive stage. Mentally as-well as physical. Fitness and determination are vital for a sport like this.

yes it is very challenging. get ready for the hardest and most rewarding workout you may ever do. jumping rope is a typical workout for both boxers and kick-boxers. your trainer will let you know what he wants you to do.I do about 16 minutes of jump-rope to warm up for boxing. until you have been training for a long time don’t work on the actual kick-boxing outside of class but it is important to do cross training and by that I mean your push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, running, medicine ball exercises etc
